I visited this board for the first time yesterday and was seriously on here for about 5 minutes. Apparently that was enough to cause me to have a dream last night where I realized that my August 10th wedding was actually the next day. Cue screeching violins.
I’ve got the big pieces done – venues, officiant, cake, florist, dress, invites, photographer – but still have little stuff to do (transportation, decor stuff, accessories, etc.). And it turns out that my flower girls won’t be able to make it. Bummed about that, but there’s nothing I can do.
Work has been kicking my butt and I haven’t even been able to think about my wedding for the past two weeks. I’m hoping to do some major catching up over the holiday weekend.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m getting married on Aug 10th in Napa Valley. Having an relaxed outdoor wedding with 80-100 ppl.
As the day gets closer, I predict getting more and more freaked out. 🙂

I’m getting married on August 10th too! And don’t worry girl… you’re not behind. Everyone is just too far ahead :p Your Napa wedding sounds gorgeous! Are you getting married at a winery? There are tons of accessory ideas you can do that’s winery related 🙂

@CaliBeeBride0813: Yay! You’re the first person that I’ve found with my wedding date. Does the date have any special meaning for you? For me, it’s just the only date when my venue was available. lol
I’m getting married in a garden and it borders a vineyard. It’s sort of a destination wedding – I live in Los Angeles.
I plan to do a lot of wedding planning over the holiday. You’ll see me all over these boards!

@JazzJune: Hehe… the date just seemed perfect, and it’s before school starts, so I figured more families can make it out! Btw, I LOVE Napa! Your venue sounds absolutely gorgeous and a lil similar to mine 🙂 I’m getting married in Aptos (Santa Cruz/Caplitola Mountains) at a private vineyard estate in the backyard, that overlooks mountains and the ocean from afar. And I’m going with that garden theme too! *wedding twins* Mixed with a vintage feel.
A few ideas I’m doing to get your decor/accessories noggin rollin… For favors, my FMIL is helping me grow succulents. I plan on putting them in metal pail tins with a tag saying something along the lines of “Homegrown… from our garden to yours.” Something cheesy. lol. And for our guestbook, we’re doing a wedding bench… where all the guests sign a bench. That way we could place it in our garden and enjoy it that way. For centerpieces… doing lanterns, with a couple ceramic love birds and mason jars.
Anyway, that was kinda fun recapping it all. Haha. Have fun planning this weekend! Let us know what you do! 🙂

I’m August 10th too!! Stress levels have been pretty low so far, though I was under pressure to get my invitations out last week (technically early, but almost all of the guests will be travelling so I wanted to give them time to make plans). When I dreamed that it was the day before the wedding and I still hadn’t sent out the invites, I got up and just had to finish them, haha. Good luck with the planning!
