Great thread! Your SO sounds wonderful and it sounds like you guys are great together! My husband’s name is Camden.  We’ve been together since I was 18 and he was 23. We’re now 28 and 34. He has been such an amazing man and I feel honored that we’ve grown together so much over the years. He is a civil engineer and is set to get his professional engineering license in April.  Then at some point within the year,  he’s set to start shadowing someone in order to take over a small company that works closely with his current company.  I’m very proud of him and how hard he’s worked to get to this point,  especially since he’s only been with his company for 3 years.

Camden is an amazing husband and an amazing father to our 6 year old son.  Even though he works long hours,  he always makes sure to spend time with us and our 2 pups every day.  One thing I love doing and look forward to every weekend is planning a nice big dinner that we cook together. We’re both pretty good cooks so it’s just a fun thing to do together.  I also love bingeing shows with him as well.  We love Supernatural,  How I Met Your Mother,  Peaky Blinders,  Rules of Engagement,  The Witcher,  and The Magicians.

I love that most people that don’t know him on a very personal level think he’s a very shy quiet guy,  but in reality,  he’s super fun and goofy.  He makes me laugh all the time, even after all these years.  I love that we share the same humor and both have a love for bad dad jokes.  I love when we have a jam session together here and there on the weekends- he’ll play drums,  I’ll play guitar,  and our son will play on kid bongos.  He’s always there for me no matter what,  and I just love him with all my heart and then some.

lili91 :  It’s funny,  I actually read the magician trilogy before it became a show and then I got him to watch the show.  If there was ever a time where something was confusing in the show,  I could explain it to him. Also with the Witcher,  I was the one who picked the game out for him as a present before it became a show so again,  we had a better understanding of the show.

My husband is the best! We’re one of those couples that are each other’s best friend. We’ve been together since we were 18 and are both turning 30 this year.

He’s crazy smart. Just absolutely brilliant but isn’t an asshole about it where he feels like he has to show off how smart he is. He’s also really driven and ambitious. He can be a bit of a workaholic but he’s so passionate about his job (immunology research) and I love that.

I love that when we watch movies or tv shows together he doesn’t mind that I constantly pause it so we can talk about whatever just happened. For us, watching stuff together really is quality bonding time. We get into really long discussions about all sorts of stuff related to the shows we watch.

He’s a fantastic cook. He always helps around the house. I do the majority of the housework because I work part time and a 40 week would be a light week for him but he always thanks me for cooking and cleaning. And he does pitch in quite a bit.

He’s super supportive. I used to be obese (recently lost 50 lbs) and he never made me feel like he didn’t find me attractive and when I started losing weight he was my biggest supporter without ever making me feel like I needed to do it for him. Basically he is the best and is my favorite person.

My husband is Tim. Tim is just the best. Who else would go through what he has been through me and still have a smile on his face.

He is the kindest person I know and we mesh so well its not even funny.  We are each other’s best friends and if you asked either of us who we would like to spend our time with its each other.

When I was diagnosed with cancer the first time, after treatment started my hair started falling out in the shower and instead of letting me whine about it and have patchy spots, he did the shave off for me. Then he went out and bought matching hats to wear out together.  In fact we bought a hate in every color so it would color coordinate with my outfits.

We love going on dates. Our favorite is the Indian restaurant, where we order the exact same thing, Butter chicken, with naan, and Raita. He is so encouraging and loves me at my best and my worst. He is a great dad who loves our kids and they adore him as well.

We love broadway plays even though we dont live anywhere near Broadway. We love to travel and scuba diving and snorkeling are our favorite things to do on vacation.

I cant post a pic of him because he is a classified security clearance but I will post a pic of me. What do yall think of my new wig? Does it look bad on nearly 50 year old me?

I love the idea of this thread! Lovely to see so much positivity!

My partner is called Jason. We met through work just over a year ago (I was basically in charge of his training). While we worked together there was a lot of banter, he made me laugh. We’ve been together just over 8 months. Our start was not very traditional! My husband had just left me when I asked him around one night and from there I caught feelings for him – he insists he’d always wanted a relationship with me but had respected my marriage and never would have pursued me if my ex hadn’t left.

Jay loves Sci-Fi which I like because I’m a low-key nerd. We’ve recently been watching Startrek Deep Space 9 from the beginning (good ol’ Netflix). Jay has been really good for me. I’ve had a rough few years but he makes it feel a little better. Most of our dates involve food. Our favourite thing to do is go for dinner and then to the casino.

Just the novelty of being treated to lunch with him on the days I’m off and he’s at work makes me smile. Even with our busy schedules (his full time work and my full time work and part time study) we make time for each other and let one another know we are important. He’s all I ever wanted from a partner. He’s considerate, practical, mature and also a really good laugh.

I’m a lucky lady (and not just at the casino).

My fiance is 30 and works as a dishwasher at a restaurant and he is probably the most intelligent person I have ever met in my life. He has autism like me and we can relate so much to each other and he totally speaks my language and gets my sense of humor just as I get his weird sense of humor. He has been through a lot with me including the time I was diagnosed with bipolar and the times where I had difficulty with keeping jobs, he has been through it and never once thought I was a failure even when I got fired three times. He called me every day and visited me in the psych ward the two times in our relationship I was there and brought me flowers. We both play video games and Dungeons and Dragons (3.5, yeah, we are kinda old school) and share a lot of hobbies together. We met in a geeky chatroom about seven years ago and have been inseperatable since. He is the best.

I LOVE all of these stories!

I met my husband in Tokyo in 2004 and were best friends for many years. He fell in love with me but I could never really reciprocate even though I did attempt a romantic relationship with him twice. Both times we were traveling overseas and we had many amazing experiences. He is a very thoughtful, loving person and extremely romantic. He was keeping a journal and wrote over a hundred pages about everything we did including detailed descriptions of how amazing and beautiful he thought I was, which was amazing to read years later. The second time was 5 years later and we dated for almost a year. We were backpacking through Southeast Asia, and he moved to Japan with me. We started having issues transitioning to real life and I broke up with him. He went back to America and even though we stayed in contact I pulled back a LOT because I didn’t want to hurt him anymore. We reconnected 6 years later and I fell hard for him. I moved across the country to be with him and he proposed shortly afterward.

He is seriously the most amazing man I know, and an incredible husband. He is respectful, supportive, funny, brilliant, hard working, and thoughtful. He brings me flowers every other week because I love flowers. He brushes my hair out because it calms me. He paints my toenails and I never have to take my dishes to the sink. He tells me every day that he thinks I’m beautiful and is extremely affectionate. He helps around the house, fixes things, and includes me in all the finances and every decision. We do everything together and never get sick of each other – which is probably why we were great friends and travel companions for so long. We play games together, read books together, have great conversations, and go on trips. I feel so incredibly lucky to be his wife and I look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.

My hubby is William. He’s in his early thirties and the most interesting and intelligent person I know. He’s worked and studied really hard for everything he has and I really respect that. He likes quiet time reading, playing golf, going for bush walks and going to work. He’s one of those people who actually loves his job and has a great work ethic! He’s tall 6’4 and has blue eyes that twinkle cheekily hehe. He’s also director of a charity which looks after underprivileged kids which he feels quite passionate about. xo
