@KatNYC2011: Just because I’m interested: what jobs are you looking for?  Also, I’m a student and have a lot of free time… we should hang out πŸ™‚

@ladyartichoke: Oh awesome! So, excuse my ignorance, but is that along the lines of lighting design, sound design, etc?

I love theater. My sister got us tickets to see One Man Two Govners when she’s here and my mom is getting DH and I tickets to Matilda for Christmas as well so I’m excited to see some good theater.

We saw Pygmalion in the summer and it was great.

Exactly like Lighting Design (in fact, thats what the title of my degree is, but people never seem to get what I mean).  I’ve heard good things about One Man Two Govners AND I’m hoping to see Matilda next month (I love Tim Minchin; and it’s such a fun story!)

@ladyartichoke: Oh awesome! Lighting design can really make or break a show, it’s such an important thing that so many people don’t even really notice unless something goes wrong.

DH and I went to see Matilda a couple of weeks ago.. it was AMAZING! I really really recommend it. Tim Minchin’s songs are fantastic, and the actor who plays Miss Trunchball was beyond talented.

Although we were the only two over 18s in the saturday matinee not accompaning children haha!

@VickyAurea: I’m a massive fan too… I may have met him… and I got entrance to the after party after his show at the O2 last year (my SO is good friends someone in Tim’s team – I wont say who specifically).  I wanted to see it in Stratford too.

@ladyartichoke: Ok…. it’s official. I’m going to the box office today to see if I can get tickets for Matilda while my sister is here over Christmas.

PS – London Bees… isn’t it a beautiful day today? It’s nice to have a sunny day with blue skies rather than the low fog grey we’ve been having.

@zippylef: Ooo awesome. I bet your Halloween costumes are amazing!

Are you going to try and work in makeup/costume design eventually? That sounds like such a cool field to be in, it really makes me wish I was creative/artistically talented.

How did your Thanksgiving turn out?
