1. Whereabouts in the UK do you live now? Edinburgh, Scotland

2. Whereabouts in the UK (or elsewhere) are you from originally? see above =)

3. Are you married, engaged or one of our waiting bees? engaged

4. What do you and your SO do for a living? I’m a support worker and OH is a software engineer

5. Any kids? not yet

6. Where did you/where will you get married? Dunglass Estate, East Lothian

7. What do you think is most different about UK weddings to other countries’ weddings? havent really noticed to be honest

8. What’s your favourite UK city? Don’t have a fave city as such, but love the highlands =)

9. Can you recommend any good UK holiday locations? My best holiday ever was in Egypt ( Hurghada) 2 lazy weeks of sunbathing and snorkelling coral reefs right off the beach =)

10. What are your favourite UK TV programmes? Dont tell the bride, and any nature/david attenborough progs ( haveI know theyre not uk shows but scrubs & big bang theory are mega faves)

   The midlands, actually closeby where Prewitt mentioned I think? *small world*
    

2. Whereabouts in the UK (or elsewhere) are you from originally? 
   Been in one town all my life and probably will for the rest 🙂
    

3. Are you married, engaged or one of our waiting bees? 
   Waiting… … … … and waiting… . …
    

4. What do you and your SO do for a living? 
   I’m a desk jockey, he’s a technician
    

5. Any kids? 
   Nope not right now
    

6. Where did you/where will you get married? 
   Hopefully locally, can’t imagine going that far out!
    

7. What do you think is most different about UK weddings to other countries’ weddings?
   We have the history of weddings dating back to over a thousand years, we’ve got the traditions down to a fine art (and haven’t over dramatised everything like some countries)

8. Whats my favourite UK city?
   Oxford, so beautiful, cultural and the setting with the colleges is magnificent. Plus again, very steeped in tradition

9. Can you recommend any good UK holiday locations? 
   Croyde bay, or the Dorset coast, check out Durdle Door, Lyme Regis with the jurassic fossil beach, and there are some lovely coastal walks there.

   
    

10. What are your favourite UK TV programmes?  
    Russell Howards Good News, House (ok, so it’s American, but Hugh Laurie is 100% british!) Q.I, Masterchef, Mock the Week, Never my the Buzzcocks, list goes on.. oh and Don’t Tell the Bride (both me and the SO love that!!)

1. Whereabouts in the UK do you live now? (just your county will do if you’re not comfortable being more specific) I’m in London at the moment for university.

2. Whereabouts in the UK (or elsewhere) are you from originally? Originally I’m from a small town in Suffolk near Cambridge and Thetford.

3. Are you married, engaged or one of our waiting bees? Waiting bee, he bought a ring! 😀

4. What do you and your SO do for a living? I’m a student and so is he.

5. Any kids? Nope.

6. Where did you/where will you get married? In America, when I move over (finally!)

7. What do you think is most different about UK weddings to other countries’ weddings? Hm, I’d say etiquette and customs. Definitely VERY different to Indian weddings!

8. What’s your favourite UK city? London! And Cambridge is second.

9. Can you recommend any good UK holiday locations? Cambridge! And London.

10. What are your favourite UK TV programmes? Most of the shows on Dave (Mock the Week), Live at the Apollo, can’t remember them all…

1. Live in Manchester (Fallowfield)

2. Born in Kent, grew up in Cumbria

3. Been married 4 months now

4. Mr is a submariner in the RN, I’m a trainee primary school teacher

5. Married in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria

6. I think a massive difference is the amount others are expected to contribute. BMs paying for their own stuff, family and friends throwing you parties / showers / rehursal dinners etc.

7. I love living in Manchester so totally biased!

8. London and Edingburgh are brill holiday destinations.

9. At the minute I’m loving Frozen Planet! And I loved Educating Essex but that finished, sad face.

Hey all!! I am competely new to this whole thing, so here it goes……..

1. Whereabouts in the UK do you live now? (just your county will do if you’re not comfortable being more specific) Cheshire

2. Whereabouts in the UK (or elsewhere) are you from originally? Cheshire

3. Are you married, engaged or one of our waiting bees? Waiting for a proposal!!

4. What do you and your SO do for a living? I am an account manager for a recruitment company and my SO is a civil engineer

5. Any kids? No, but we have an adorable little cat!

6. Where did you/where will you get married? Torn between somewhere abroad or somewhere in the UK

7. What do you think is most different about UK weddings to other countries’ weddings? There is always a good party at the end 🙂

8. What’s your favourite UK city? Liverpool…good shops, bars restaurants and friendly people

9. Can you recommend any good UK holiday locations? Lincoln is lovely for a long weekend away

10. What are your favourite UK TV programmes? Don’t tell the bride, come dine with me, all BBC documentaries…espcially frozen planet, but prefer to watch a good film!

@gillshaw15: Welcome and I hope your wait isn’t for much longer! And we both like Don’t Tell the Bride – Gutted it’s the final one of the series tonight though, it secretly helps my waiting emotions :-/
