We just got our invitations in and I’m getting ready to assemble them to send out. Here’s my question: we are doing online RSVPs, so they won’t actually be returning the response cards. Do I need to include the response card envelopes, even though they won’t really be used? Or should it just be the invitation with the response card on top? (At this point I don’t have a belly band or anything else to fancy them up either).

We didn’t even send a response card, we had all of the information on the back of our invitations stating “please RSVP via our website”. Do your response cards state that there is an online RSVP?
I don’t think I would bother sending the envelope though, that might get confusing for some people.

I wouldn’t send them with the envelope – like PP mentioned, it will just be confusing. I would just place the card on top of the invitation. You could take some small ribbon to tie them together if you want.

We did because we also needed our guests to pick their meal options so this seemed the easiest way to do it. We did email RSVP’s.

Great, that makes sense. I think I’ll just see about finding something to tie them together so they’re stacked a bit more nicely and go from there. Thank you!
