I think your mom is totally wrong.  I think the bird image might clash (or just not be quite a match) to the beautiful paper.

I love the invite- I think it’s simple and elegant.  The papers add drama.

My vote it don’t bother with image.

If you love them all then there’s certainly a way to use them. This is where working with a designer (even just for the design – you can do the DIY printing, assembling, etc.) can be helpful. Contact me and I can help pull together the different elements! And the vector image can be modified to match the two different printed wraps that you’ve chosen. The image can be shades of yellow/chocolate to go with the yellow wrap, and pink/chocolate to match the other!

I think it is all very pretty, but might be a bit much all together.  Maybe you could use the image on programs or menus instead?

I love the invite – it’s plain and classy. But it’s ok to be plain because the coloured papers you chose (ie the cherry blossom and bird images) are outstanding and colourful by themselves. Love the decor paper and great theme!

PS: i love those fonts! mind sharing where you got them?

I think the papers and invite once tied with the ribbon will be very elegant!  If you really like the birdies, why not shrink them down and use on escort cards, menu cards, welcome notes in welcome bags, even on the outside of the invitation envelopes (Kinkos can do that for you or Sir Speedy if one in your area).

Remember simple is always elegant and timeless…my grandmother used to say "get fully dressed with all the jewelery you’d LIKE to wear and then take one piece off. Only then will you be dressed."

Plain is in these days. 🙂  I like them without, but if you did vote to use the image..it does NOT look like  you just printed them up on word.  They look very professional.

I like the paper! I would do what you want, but I think they’ll look good with just the paper or with the vector on the bottom. Maybe you could make it a two color instead of three and take the little dot swirl/line thing out. That was make it echo the paper design more.
