My ceremony and reception are taking place at two different venues. We are not doing a wedding website with wedding details, and am in the process of making up the invitations as we speak. Do I have to let the guests know on the invitation about the reception venue, and if so, how do I word this?

At the bottom of our invitation, we included a line stating “Reception to follow.”
Then, we made a separate card titled “Reception,” where we indicated the place and time, and that there would be dinner, drinks and dancing. On the back of the reception card, we included directions from the ceremony to reception venue. Pretty easy, and even guests who didn’t go to our website could manage. 🙂
