I think you should write out: twenty-thirteen – meaning:  two thousand thirteen

Is the text black or purple? It’s hard to tell on my monitor. But either way it looks a bit dark to me. The rest of the colours are so warm and cheery, I wish the font colour was a deep burnt orange or a burgundy to complement the leaves.

I would also nix the shadow effect, it makes the words look blurry.

But I think the clipart is really cute!

I don’t like your main font (Times?). There are so many amazing options out there! check out dafont.com

And I agree with linguo42, I’m not sure if the pic is just bad resolution or if you have a shadow on the text, but if there is a shadow I’d remove it. Let a nice font speak for itself.

Also, the switch between centered and left justified looks a bit like a flyer to me, not an invitation. Can you put the clipart on the back of the page and maybe a smaller image on this side.

Right now it doesn’t seem formal to me at all.

@woodwindwaker: I’m with you on that. We’re putting Twenty Eleven on our wedding book 🙂

Since your name font is frilly, I agree that something simple would be best.

Maybe something like this or this

I agree with @kala_way’s font suggestions – my biggest issue with your draft was the funny spaces between certain letters in the words (like between the s and the t in requested), and a new font should fix that.

Going along with @linguo42’s suggestion of changing the main color – if you do a dark orange for the text, maybe your ampersand (&) between your names can be green… or you can keep the ampersand orange and make the main text green. Either way, you’re tying in the colors of the clip art and I think it will all flow better and the image will fit better.
