warning: my instructions arent that great… but you get the idea!
I thought since i stress out easy to get my stationary underway… – 6 months before they need to be sent! ha! < hows that for organisation!
When choosing the paper work out what dimensions are needed to fit in envelope.. they say you should choose your envelope size first before you create anything.. so i followed expert advice..
Chose my paper – star dream mars..burgandy colour and got envelopes to match.
Tried to find some way cool design to print on to paper to save money on buying expensive paper….
Done.. I went to http://www.styleguide.com.au they have some great freebies!! I downloaded and printed the design on some nice gold paper found for 4 dollars for 25 sheets at K-mart…
I Cut and scored the burgandy paper to fit DL envelope size – i went for an angular cut at the front to be a little differant
I cut the printed design to fit middle section of invite and pasted… FH found some terracotta ribbon because he thought it needed some “edge” so i followed his design by placing 3mm ribbon along vertical ways and a thick 10 mm ribbon along horizontally.. Sealed edges of ribbon with a lighter to stop fraying..
After deciding that having a blank front was boring,I thought I would tackle a monogram wrap and added it to make a bit of interest.
150 of them later…
So thats it so far…also excuse the chipped nail polish! (hard at work!).. These are by no means all done.. have not done rsvp cards, havent even done map or invite themselves…but they say any progress is somewhat good progress… and also this is my first attempt really at DIY scrapbooking stuff.. so im kinda proud as punch with my effort.. Hope you like them!
