I don’t know much about this, but I’m guessing you need to tell us what type of printing you will be using. If its letterpress, you need thicker paper.

Did you try googling your question? Thats what I would try anyway.

lol. Sorry I’m not more help!

You probably want a fairly heavy weight cardstock for the postcard.  I was really pleased with the paper quality from paperandmore.com.  They’re very reasonably priced, and you can order samples.  They have different text papers and cardstocks.

I’d also try checking on the post office website because they have the requirements about the size you need to make the postcard.

I made my own invitations using Word and got paper from bluedotpapershop.com. They have a ton of different cardstocks which is what I used for my invites and RSVPs. Good luck!

I haven’t ordered my paper yet, but I am planning on using bluedotpapershop.  Probably a #110 paper.  We are doing a combo of laser printing and heat embossing.

marci_607………I got mine from bluedotpapershop.com too!!!!!!!!!  AWESOME online store…paper was at my house in 2 weeks (I’m in Canada too!).  As for TYPE of papers…..STARDREAM metallic paper is my personal recommendation.  bluedotpapershop sells them under ‘cover’ and ‘text’ and they are the ‘metallic’ papers…..you can order sample packs (it gives you 2 sheets of each colour) for like $5.

Stardream is AWESOME…the ‘cover’ paper is a thicker cardboard…it doesn’t print on my printer because it is too thick to go through..but the ‘text’ paper works.  I love these papers because when you print it…even though the ink is plain it kinda of shimmers against the metallic papers.

I actually have my own wedding invitation business so yes I am making all of our wedding invitation stationaries using Stardream papers.  I also like ‘laid’ paper…it’s got that canvas feel/look to it.

message me your email if you want to see some pictures…I’d be happy to show you some ideas!
