I purchased my semi DIY invitations from Michaels and am pretty happy with everything except for the fact that the seal in front of the ribbon that has our name has these perforations (tear areas). It is too intricate of a design to snip off with a pair or scissors (tag looks like a cloud). Does anyone have a “trick” to flatten these out so that it is not too obvious that it is a tear out? It looks tacky the way it is. Here is a pick of the invite:
Thank you ladies for your help!!!

Can you create your own seal out of a silver paper or vellum and cut it out with a fancy paper punch?

@kaybee: I’ve looked everyone but nothing seems to match the pocketfold envolope, which has embossed flourishes all over it (it’s hard to see on the pic). I tried to do a tag but the paper from the tag is blatantly different. =(

i don’t think there’s any way to flatten out a pre perferated card… it seems like you’re going to be unhappy regardless since you’re not going to find cardstock for the seal that looks anything like the embossed pocketfold. your best bet would be to try and find metallic cardstock that matches the silver border. have you checked out any of the stardream colors? there’s 2 different silver stardream papers, and i’m pretty sure the lighter would be a near perfect match.
