The women in my family have been cursed by an over preparedness gene. My Mother would like me to get the invitations out of the way, I’m cool with that (who knows why, I guess she likes to check things off the list as soon as possible- smart gal). Anyhoo, I found the perfect invitations and they’re not a million dollars- yay!
Ok, so I’m drawing a complete blank on how to word the info on the reception card. I’m not using it as a reception card, I want to include the info about the hotel… how do I word it? There are a few rooms at the actual location of the ceremony/reception then there are a block of rooms being held at a reduced rate in a hotel about a mile away. But how do I say it to make it sounds right? (you’d think my Mom would have an opinion here but she’s busy lol)

I’d recommend perusing invitation company sites — you can view their samples and get ideas for wording!

We’re including an insert with our save-the-dates that has hotel information. The wording I used was:
We have reserved a block of rooms at the (insert hotel name here) in City, State. To reserve a room at the preferred rate, call XXX.XXX.XXXX by (insert date here) and mention the (Bride Last Name-Groom Last Name) wedding.
In your case, I would say about the hotel where your ceremony/reception is taking place:
There are a limited number of rooms available at the (insert location name here). To reserve a room, call XXX.XXX.XXXX and mention the (Bride Last Name-Groom Last Name) wedding.
Then, I would add in something similar to my wording above, like this:
We have also reserved a block of rooms at the (insert hotel name here) in City, State, located approximately 1 mile from (insert ceremony/reception name here). To reserve a room at the preferred rate, call XXX.XXX.XXXX by (insert date here) and mention the (Bride Last Name-Groom Last Name) wedding.
Hope that helps!

Depending on how much room you have, you could keep it simple and say
We have reserved rooms at the
ADDRESS OF HOTEL
please mention the XXX/XXX wedding for a group rate. We ask that you book by XXX to guarentee availability.

You guys are great, thanks for the help! Funny how sometimes you just can’t come up with something- lots of stuff in my head, of which the majority I couldn’t probably do without! Haha, Thanks again!
