@abbyful:I have to send several out of the country and they WILL NOT have postage on them.  Theres no way for me to get their type of postage and figure out how much would be needed.  In these circumstances your guest will DEFINITELY understand!

Our stationer said return postage was not required for out-of-country RSVPs.

Yes, they will need their country’s postage and you can’t get it anywhere but in that particular country (at least so far as I’ve been able to tell).    I think in this case, it’s acceptable to not include postage – people will know that it was impossible for you to get.

For us, we have four countries we need to manage and we have a different solution for each.  Australia:  I’m currently living here with Fiance so I’ll just send the stamps to my sister who’s doing the invitations for us.  UK: We’re asking FI’s sister to purchase the number of stamps we need and send them to my sister (we’ll reimburse her later).   Canada:  We’ve only got a few guests from Canada and they’re friends of mine, so we won’t do the postage and I’ll either send them an email asking them to just email me their rsvp or if they want to send it back, we’ll leave it to them to get the postage.   Not exactly ideal but not much else we can do.   And then of course the US but all of my family is there and as my sis is doing the invites, it’s not an issue.

I am including postage for out of country invites: basically,US invites go back to me and French ones go to my mom.

@Ree723: I can send you some Canadian stamps if you want.

I agree with the PP’s. It’s not realistic for most people to get postage from other countries. Your guests will understand.

It’s definitely not required by any means, but very thoughtful for you to try and do it if possible.

Good luck!

i added in an extra note asking out-of-country guests to email us their rsvp since we couldn’t get their required postage

Our wedding is in California, but both my fiance and I are from different countries, and out of 90 invitations only 28 were sent within the US!  Also, the guests are scattered across EIGHT countries, so I didn’t even consider getting international postage.

However, I have a wedding website through http://www.wedshare.com and on my invitations I directed everyone to our website to RSVP there, so that saved me even the domestic return postage.  Most of my friends and family won’t have any problem navigating the site, other than my grandmother, who I already know is coming! 🙂

You can not include return postage it has to be from that country. We found out that way the hard way from the Post office

You can get an international reply coupon from I know Canada Post and the US postal service.

They are not cheap, but it allows the user to take it to their post office and exchange it for the stamps required to mail it to your country.

@Sassygrn You can also buy postage online from some countries’ postal service.
