I sent out my wedding invitations on Monday! Yay!! Since my parents are paying and hosting, they had their return address on the invitations & RSVP cards. But they are on vacation for the next 2.5 weeks and put a hold on their mail!! So I won’t know if any have been returned due to address or post office problems, and then it may be too late to send new invitations!
AND I won’t get any RSVP cards back for 2.5 weeks. I know a lot of people don’t respond right away, but I still want to know!
Bride craziness moment!

How far do you live near them? They may be able to designate you as able to pick it up during that time. Or someone else, if you don’t live nearby.
That would make me crazy too! If it makes you feel any better though (it won’t), the few items I got returned took a RIDICULOUSLY long time to get back to me, like 4 weeks.

Why is their address on the RSVP? Both my husband and I’s parents are paying for and hosting our wedding, and we used our address on the RSVPs.

Oh, that sucks! I’m the day before you and we haven’t received any RSVPs in the last week…I’ve never been more excited about mail, lol.

@Hyperventilate: Traditionally, the hosts name goes on the RSVP card, and my parents are very traditional. I REALLY wanted the RSVP cards mailed to me, but my mother insited they get sent to her!

Well that sucks that she made you do that. Can’t they call the post office and say their daughter will pick it up? Or if they can’t call from wherever they are you could call and pretend to be your mom, you probably know the answer to any security questions they’d ask. I’ve done this before for different things and it’s no problem. And my mom’s done it for me too haha.
