I am hoping someone could give a suggestion. I just received my wedding invitations and they have a spelling error on it. I could over look it if it was in the wording of the invite, but it is actually on our wedding website where people are suppose to RSVP. My wedding is in July, so they have to go out ASAP. . They are custom from a local vendor who ships out the work to be printed. So it takes a while for the cards to come. The next shipment is in June. I also have them foil printed on gold card stock, in gold lettering so I just can’t write over it with pen. I have no idea what to do.
I would really appreciate someone’s suggestion.

i wouldn’t make a correction on the invite – instead i would make an insert that has your correct web address. we had a problem with our map/accommodations inserts. they matched our sample, but then didn’t match our actual invites. so instead of putting white inserts in with soft white invitations, we went to zazzle.com and made little ‘tags’ (from their business cards section – using the ‘skinny card’ template) that said "for directions accommodations and wedding info go to (our website). here’s a pic of our invites…the little green tag at the front is what me made on zazzle. BTW – they got to me in about 3 days and cost under $20.

can you set up a redirect web page, so that when people type in the incorrect address they will be redirected to your web site? then you won’t have to worry about the invite typo.

Thank you. I will try both ideas.

I would speak to the actual person your ordered your invites from. Find out if there is anything they can do. Did you proof these invites before having them printed? If so there isn’t going to be anything they can do. If you didn’t then then this is something that has needs to be corrected by them, even if it means they eat the cost and expedite getting new ones.
Like the previous posters, I would add an insert with the correct web address.

I think the re-direct is a great idea, but if that’s too hard to figure out, I’d go with the insert. Print it on nice paper and it’ll be fine. 🙂
