so I’m totally between invitations. I love the look of suites but for some reason I can’t get out my mind that people will lose track of my information cards, gifts, directions etc wih it all being on seperate cards. I’m wondering if it would be better for people to have everything all on one folded sheet of card and just the reply card seperately. What do you bees think? Am I crazy to worry about people losing cards from the suite? Or have you had experience of this?

Invitation suites are far more classic and elegant if that’s what you’re going for, IMO. Also, you do not need an insert for gifts, because there should be no mention of gifts on the invitation, or anywhere else.

The information that’s usually on the suite cards in on our wedding website, can’t get lost! As a guest I prefere to have less that could potentialy get lost.

I politely disagree with the statement there should be no mention of gifts. I almost always buy off the registry, so personally I appreciate that info being somewhere, though online is fine (vs in the invite). I’m buying you a $50-$150 gift, the least you can do is help me figure out where your registry is. Maybe it’s a regional or cultural thing?
As for a single card vs a suite… that’s up to you. I feel the suite is way more ‘traditional’. To me, a suite is a waste of money, but to other’s it’s very important. It’s all how you feel about it.

Hi all thanks for your replies so far! It is quite common where I’m from to include reistey information and generally looked upon as a helpful guide But I completely understand this is different elsewhere.I should add I’m not sure if I’m right when I refer to invitation “suite” what I mean by that is a seperate card for invite then another card with gift details on another with a map on an RSVP and an RSVP envelope. Is this a Suite? When I say all in one place I mean sort of a folded card where I have a front design, directions hotel and parking info on the back and invite wording plus additional info inside.

Honestly, I don’t know why I never see folded invitation cards (similar to a birthday card or something). I wish it was more common b/c it’s just much more convenient for me to just hang it on the fridge.
I agree that invitation suites look a lot nicer, but after the wedding, I toss all wedding invitations in the trash.

As a guest I’d rather receive a nice suite any day of the week than something for lack of better words, akin to a pamphlet or flyer. Emphasis on for lack of better words.

I’m going to stick the thing on my fridge for a month until your wedding, then toss it-not like it’s getting framed for the Louvre. I am all for less wasted paper and things for me to misplace!

I like 1 invitation with a wedding website, and 1 reply card.
Sometimes it’s fun to get this big package in the mail for wedding invites, but I tend to throw it all in the trash. The invite gets put on the fridge and I check the website for any info I need. I find the little map sketches pretty useless.
