Okay, so my Fiance doesn’t want to use a wedding website because he’s in law enforcement and doesn’t want that kind of info all over the net. A large number of our guests are from out of town and many won’t know where anything is, such as the ceremony site, the reception (to which we are walking–it’s less than a block away) and all that jazz. So, here’s my question, hive: How do I include this information in the invitation without it becoming an information overload? Also, how do I communicate our registries to people? In all the etiquette places I’ve read, it says to transmit it via word of mouth, but our guests are all over the country! Help!

You can just include a “day of” insert, maybe include a fun walking map and mini schedule.

you could make a website, but just make sure it’s not searchable thru google or other search engines.
You could also include some sort of directions/information card in with the invitations with the extra info you want to get out.

Make your invites be pockets, which allows for inserts. We did this as we have alot of out of town guests too. We also did a website, but we had an accommodations card that has website info for all of our locations,(reception, hotels, church) where we registered etc. But like someone else said there is a way to do a website and have it UNsearchable in yahoo. Good Luck
