So we worked on the wording for our wedding invitations this week. It was difficult because we both have divorced parents, some remarried, we wanted a formal but simple invitation that did not upset either set of parents…
Here is what we came up with:
Together with their parents,
Brides full name
Grooms full name
Invite you to share their joy
When they exchange marriage vows
And begin their new life together

Who is paying? The wording depends, in part, in who is paying as that makes them a host.

My mom is paying a little under half, my father is putting in nothing, his mom i putting in a small amount, his father a small amount, and we are putting in over half. We are paying the majority of the wedding, hence the wording is very simple and we are hosting it for the most part

I like how you opted to do the wording, but I think that it should say “as they exchange marriage vows” rather than “when.” I would also take out the last line about beginning a new life together, because personally, it seems a bit obvious to me.
