Same situation (except Mom’s not remarried), and that’s the format I’m using, but I’m not including the parent’s middle names. And I may drop the Mr and Mrs-just feels weird to have:

Ms. Alice Jones
Mr. Don Jones
blah blah
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Smith

It bugs me a little that my mom gets her first name but his mom doesn’t, so that’s why I’m leaning towards no Mr/Mrs.

I don’t see a problem with : MOGFirst MOGMiddle & FOGFirst FOGMiddle FOGLast

Oh- and I think it’s fine for your Mom to be Mrs. Alice Jones- if she wasn’t remarried, you’d probably list her as Ms, but since the last names are different, there shouldn’t be any confusion (the reason we have to keep them on separate lines.)

I think what you have is totally fine and appropriate. The only things is that I don’t think you need your FI’s last name since you are listing his parents and their last name.

ETA: I would also drop the middle names from the parents, but that’s just me 🙂

I think the “right way” is:

Mrs John Smith (MOB) and Mr Michael Jones (FOB)

If you use her actual first name (as opposed to her husbands name) it implies she is divorced for a second time (weird I know).  Also, keep them on one line.

I was worried about wording in the parent department for different reasons… my father recently passed in September and FI’s parents have never been married but are on good terms.

Our’s reads “Together with their parents… Bride & Groom Names request the pleasure of your company at the celebration of their marriage…”

It worked well without it getting complicated. I never thought there would be so many options for wording. lol
