Hey Bees & Bee- Readers!…. Just a quick question. If Im getting married in July, When is the best time to order invitations and how long does it usually take the invites to come back?

I’m getting married at the end of June. We actually just ordered our invitations, and they only took a week to come in. I wanted to have them early so I wouldn’t have to sit down and address them all at once.

Wow – just depends. Mostly on the size of the company and the printing process you select. I have seen anywhere from days to weeks on the websites I have looked at, but you can probably figure minimum of two weeks from when you order, as most places will send an electronic proof for your approval, which adds to the turn-around time. You want to send your invites 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding – our date is mid-July, so we will be spending the last week and April and first week in May addressing and stuffing envelopes. Since I am having some specialty printing (map enclosures) I figure that I need to get them ordered by the end of March at the latest. Hope that helps.
