I would not put it on the invite maybe make a website.

Why write anything beyond “dinner and drinks to follow” or similar wording?  As long as it’s an actual meal as opposed to just appetizers and you’re giving drinks at one point, you are providing both.

If other bees disagree that it needs to be billed as a cash bar but with at least one comped drink, I’d love to see thoughts on that.  I am not thinking about anything along these lines, but I’d think that as long as you provide at least a glass of wine with dinner kind of service, then dinner and drinks properly describes the event.

And no need to mention the buffet. The great thing about buffets is that people choose what to eat when they get there!
