Mine from vistaprint turned out really nice. you can get a free sample set in the mail if you go to their website. and vistaprint always has some sort of 50% coupon floating around

Have you checked on Etsy?  I don’t know what style you are going for with invitations but I had my heart set on a pocketfold and I found them from a vendor there for considerably less than other websites.  The work was beautiful and I couldn’t have been happier!

Maybe if you give an idea of the vibe you’re going for, we can all be of more help =)

Try Minted.com. They have great stuff that is a little bit different than WPDs.

Not sure what you’re budget is, but we got our invitation suite from Bella Figura (letterpress). Its letterpress so its going to be more expensive, but they’re amazing and would obviously make you over-the-top fancy save the dates (and I obviously could not recommend them more highly for your invitations).

@Miss Sweet Pea:  PS I spent $140 for invitations for at least 80 guests (i think it was like 60 or so invites with spares) personlized envelopes, RSVP cards and pretty envelopes, and reception cards. With the personalized pretty envelopes they were an additional charge so we got TONS of white envelopes for our screw ups

P.S. I also found that vistaprint was more affordable for the same quality as wedding paper divas. then again I’ve always found super fancy overpriced invites a waste of money

Why do you need to order them all now? Maybe if you wait you can afford to buy from the William Arthur line with WPD, which is much nicer. If you are worried about quality of invite, vistaprint, etc will be the same quality or worse, but certainly not better.

I did vistaprint with my own design. Very simple, but I wasn’t in for anything fancy.

@Miss Sweet Pea:  Hey, thank you so much!! I loved the tree idea as well, but didn’t want any of the colors they had available and wanted something a bit more elegant.

I made the actual design myself using photoshop (30 day free trial–I had never used it before, but it was fairly easy to figure out)  and a free tree vector I found using google and I downloaded a couple free fonts as well. It was time consuming–you can see the rejects of mine in a few old threads–but I was really happy for them in the end.

90 invites, envelopes, enclosures, and their envelopes came out to ~$56 using groupon’s $17 for $70 deal (you can buy the St. Louis one right now)

If you really like them, I can try to send you the photoshop file that you’ll be able to change the type, fonts, background color, etc from. (if you promise not to be a creeper on our names–since our trial is over I can’t edit them and I’m not 100% sure which file is the final draft!….)

we spent a little over $300 for 150 invitations. we bought them thru invitationsbydawn.com. they’re always having sales and that’s how we were able to get a good deal (original price was close to $400). they have a pretty decent selection and i remember seeing a few with trees and leaves and such, so you may want to check them out. you can order free samples from them as well.

I used the Green Kangaroo for our STD’s and I will be getting our invitations from them as well. Good luck!

@Miss Sweet Pea:  Of course this is your own style choice, but most people’s Save-The-Date Cards don’t match their invitations. To get a paper weight heavier than the signature paper at WPD will cost a lot no matter where you go. Good luck with your search. I hope you find something beautiful and within your budget.
