Ok so Fiance and I went last Saturday to look at invitations, reception cards and save the dates. We picked out the design we liked and the lady said she would email me the proof. As of today nothing, how long should I wait to contact??? Also how much should I be expecting to pay? I was considering trying to do it on my own but then recalled last time I tried a DIY project and well lets just say that my dogs hair wont grow back from where I spilled the glue. I should not be let near scissors, glue or any type of craft project of any kind.

They didn’t tell you how much the invitations cost? Did you leave a deposit, or did you just look at samples? If you placed an order, then they should have given you the total cost. If they didn’t, you need to call immediately, and figure out the cost and whethe or not it’s in your budget. Invitation cost varies greatly, depending on the company, style and added elements. If they’re making custom proofs for you, and sending via e.mail, it could take a couple of days, but I would think they should have e.mailed you by now. Sounds like you need to give them a call regardless.

@simplifiedbride: they said their computers were down and couldnt give me an exact estimate per invite with everything else and when they emailed the proof they would include the pricing. I called she aplogized and said she was busy preparing for a wedding showcase. I dont know exactly how I feel about that. But she said she would have the proofs to me by Monday.
