We tied a thin ribbon around the rest of the items for the invitation for my sisters wedding. It looked cute and kept everything together in the envelope.

I didn’t do pocketfolds or anything. I just had my flat invites, and then I found these really adorable heart shaped paperclips from Kikkerland, so I clipped on the RSVP so it would all come out of the envelope at once. I sewed all my other pages together like a little booklet (main invite & map, didn’t include an accomodations page), so it’s not like there was a million loose pages in there anyways. We also used the heart on our invites, so the paperclip tied in nicely. Our guests loved them!

You could use twine to tie everything together.

i’m tying everything together with twine. then i’m adding a tag (like in fireslayer’s picture) with the invited guests’ names — the tag is taking the place of an inner envelope.
