The pianist for my ceremony is my best friend/BM’s sister. Are we supposed to invite her to the rehearsal dinner? If she was just a random person we hired I wouldn’t invite her but since she’s someone I know fairly well I’m not sure what to do!

She’s going to be at the actual rehearsal right?
I guess it depends on the formality and size of the rehearsal sdinner but I invited everyone who was at the rehearsal to the dinner.
Since she’s involved and you know her well I’d say absolutely.

Yes, I’d invite her.
I helped a friend write out her placecards once and was invited to theirs. It wasn’t necessary, but I appreciated being included.

Ask her if she thinks it necessary or would like to attend the *rehearsal.* If she says yes, then invite her to the dinner.
(I’m an organist, and occasionally people ask me if I’m coming to the rehearsal, and I’m like, “no…why would I come to that? That’s for you to practice walking down the aisle! I KNOW what *I’m* supposed to do! I do it all the time!”)

She will be playing at the ceremony to figure out how everything will go down. We aren’t getting married in a church so things will be different. I think we’re going to invite and if she doesn’t feel comfortable going then that’s fine. :]
