Our ceremony and reception are at the same venue, so we are not including a “reception” card in our invitations. Do we need to write “reception to follow” on the invites, or is that for when the reception is off-site?
We also have a website that we will tell them on our STDs.

texaslemon: I think it is better to include the phrase on the invitation, otherwise it looks like you are only inviting guests to the ceremony.
If the ceremony and reception are held at the same venue, it is fine to state “Reception to follow” at the bottom of the invitation. If the reception is held at a different location, it should be treated as a separate event. Include a reception card with the event details as part of the invitation suite.

texaslemon: Yes, you should put “Food, fun and merriment to follow” “Reception to immediately follow” etc. Something to let the guests know that there will be no traveling after the ceremony.
Even though you are using a wedding website- understand that many guests will not even look at it, so make sure important information is easily found on the invitation or STD.
