So, I have worked my butt off getting the perfect custom made invites.
After all was said and done, calligraphered, stamped and mailed, 45 invites cost me about $1500. I had ordered 50, but with errors and loss, I only have 2 invitations left with no envelopes.
My Mom, (now that I have sent them out) was shocked that I hadn’t invited 2 aunts that live about 2000 miles away. We know fully, they will not, and can not afford to attend. I didn’t want to send them invites, because I didn’t want it to look like I was looking for a gift from them.
My question is…what to do about the invites. I don’t have more envelopes, I’ve checked with the company and it would be like a new order. I would have to order a min of 25. I have all the other bits, just not the envelopes. So it would cost me an additional $219 for the envelopes.
So, do I do it? They will take a couple of weeks to come in. Or do I go to Michaels and buy some make your own invites and make new ones myself? Or do I find an envelope that is close to fitting but might not match (they are an odd size)?
