I am currently working on invites for a very close friend (I’m her MOH) and I’d love some advice, suggestions, or ideas. Her colors are purples and grey/neutrals. I plan on using distress ink on the edges (walnut stain) and will be putting these on purple cardstock. Any feedback is much appreciated (certain information has been blocked for privacy).

Ugh, I don’t know how to resize these pics, but they’re 5×7 to 3×5

I think in all it is really busy. And I would lose the white boxes and drop shadows on the map.

I would lose the peacock feather on the RSVP, go to transparent text boxes on the map, add some kind of border or beveling effect at the map’s edges – maybe round the corners – and do the directions in a solid, blue/indigo font, rather than an engraved look with the black you have now.
I like the invitation itself quite a bit. It’s not my style, but it’s very nice.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I’ve definitely got to work something out for the map, and I’m going to try some different solid fonts maybe, but here’s what they look like printed. Sorry for the crappy phone pics, I’ll post better ones when I find my camera.

Other option for the map maybe? Not sure, this is a work in progress. Good thing I have 6 months to get this figured out lol.

I am not a huge fan of the inked edges. As for the map try reversing out the text to white and running along the roads instead of over the top and center the copy underneath.
Here is one of mine with the dark background and white copy.
