I am a bride on a SUPER-limited budget and am trying to find creative ideas for invitations. I have photoshop, so I’m trying to think of ways to incorporate that, but need printing and embellishment advice. My fiance just wants us to do plain, typed-white paper on cardstock with a ribbon through it, but I want to make the invites look more creative and nicer. Any advice???

I recommend using paperandmore.com for your paper. I had good luck with them and they’re the cheapest I found. Here is a link to my invites:
DIY invites, done! (ish)
They really weren’t that hard (although they were time consuming)… and they got an AMAZING response. Everyone loved them.

Would you be into the DIY invitation kits from stores like Michaels? I was just there yesterday and they have a bunch of different styles, they go on sale a lot, and you can use the legendary Michaels coupons. Much easier than starting from scratch and could possibly end up being cheaper in the long run.

Have you checked out Vistaprint.com? I got mine there for $30 using the free stuff from the emails and the discount codes online. I found that between ink, paper, and embellishments it was going to cost quite alot to do them at home.
You also might check Micheals, Hobby Lobby, and Target, they have some really nice ones and they go on sale regularly and alot of times I have found some really nice ones on clearance.
