I think I can visualize it pretty well. Simple and classy, they look nice!

Maybe “Invite you to share in their joy”? But that might not be right, your wording might be fine.

Have you made an actual mock-up? I am concerned about the ribbon edging and how the white cardstock will lay on top of it.

I’m sorry that you didn’t feel respected. That’s not the point of this community.

I really like it. What about putting silver and blue ribbon together around the middle? THat would tie everything together.

As someone who is in the middle of 20+ hours of DIY invites – I love the idea of doing silver around the edge, but silver cardstock would take a lot less time than trying to line up the ribbon. I’m finding it really difficult to line up ribbon, but glue dots are your friendsQ!

@Thrakena: 🙁 Have you made a tactile mockup? That will help the bees make better recommendations.

I didn’t see any rude or negative comments to promt your reaction. You set up the poll (with the option of choosing to scrap everything) and then asked what people thought. Don’t ask if you dont want to know…

IMO the screenshot looks fine. I would be interested to see you put them all together, with the printing and then the additional ribbon.

We’re all friends here bee 🙂 Good luck!

@Thrakena: Hmm honestly, I don’t get where you’re coming from because I don’t see any harshly negative comments about your cards or anyone criticizing your use of powerpoint. Have they been deleted? The poll seems to say that more people are saying that it’s good as it is and if you don’t want to be told to scrap your design and order premade cards, then why have that option at all?

Anyway, my suggestion for the new design you have would be to consider making the font a bit smaller on the RSVP card…I think the proportion looks better on the main invite because the border is thicker. If possible, I would also explore other fonts apart from Times New Roman because to me it seems a little too commonly-used in office documents, but that’s just me.
I would also be concerned about how you’re going to terminate the silver ribbon, i.e. how you’re going to hide the ends.

However, since you’re changing the design, there’s not much to comment here.

@Thrakena: I think they look fine. I like the idea of the ribbon added as well! With DIY someone will ALWAYS have some rude opinion (I just try to take everything with a grain of salt). If people don’t like it, tough beans! And…think about all of the money you will be saving with DIY!!! Congrats on getting them done (or rather mostly done).

Sorry I can’t help with the font. Try searching “font” “free font” on wedding bee and see what posts you come up with. I know I’ve seen a bunch around.
