wow I never heard this! Sounds like it would be fun to try though! Especially with Obama in office, though I’m sure they have assistants to do this work. Let us know how it goes!

My friend did it for her grandma’s 100th birthday (George & Barbara were in the White House then) and they sent a lovely card which she had framed for her gran.

I found this in a quick google search http://www.yourweddingplace.com/wedding-planning/wedding%20invite%20famous%20celebrities.htm

Don’t feel bad either, when Spot died (Bush Sr’s dog) I totally sent them a condolence email…my mum & I were heartbroken for them…AND I’m not even a US citizen…LOL

Oh cool. That would be so neat! Maybe I’ll do that.

And omg, you’re sooo adorable, sending a letter from your dogs pov.

I’ll be sending the former President and Mrs. Bush an invite as well as our Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle (I’ve met him on a few occasions).

When my son turned one, I got a birthday card from the President for him!  They are such gracious people!

This reminds me of the response and photo I received from President G.H.W. Bush!  I was in 4th grade and wrote him a letter regarding ocean pollution.  It really is exciting to open your mailbox and see "The White House" at the top left corner of an envelope!

I’ve heard of brides inviting Mickey & Minnie, too.  I’d be more inclined to send one to Martha Stewart, though.  ;o)

I would love to invite Barack!

But now I am a bit disappointed.  My students and I sent a collection of letters and drawings to GW Bush about the importance of helping endangered species and we got NOTHING in return. I think they were a little too busy in Iraq.

Ha! I love that you sent a letter to Millie. When she had puppies, I sent a letter to the Bushs telling them that if they couldn’t find homes for them all, I’d be happy to take one since we only had one dog and she’d love a playmate….
