We sent them an invite to our reception (which took place a week after our wedding). It didn’t occur to me not to send an RSVP card. I agree with the people above that it might help ensure that the people responding have your address. But no need to waste a stamp if you don’t want to on the return envelope.
Apparently, the wording on our invite confused them a little. We got a nice response, but it was with a letter they must send out for anniversaries — it congratulated us on our many years of committment to one another! I told my husband it was the Obamas giving us the thumbs up for the two years we lived in sin before getting hitched.

yeah i’ve never heard of sending one to Julia Gillard…I guess people have probably done it before, but it’s not commonplace.
I really had no idea that you could send them to all of these people! it seems like a silly idea, but a definitly a fun one!

i’ve got to admit, i think it’s a bit odd, and i’d never heard of it til Weddingbee! but do kind of love it! (The Fiance would never allow it though- waste of money!)
