So…to save trees, we special ordered our invites printed on organic recycled cotton. The problem? The invites are a bit small – they’re thank you card size. My Fiance and I think it’s okay but aren’t entirely sold, you know? My Mom is more concerned with how the font looks bad (it’s in block lettering so sometimes in some places it almost looks like letters are separate in words like pr esence but it’s just the font used).
I don’t know – I like it but I don’t want people to judge us for it. We also aren’t using card stock for inserts in the invite (lodging, travel, etc.) and instead recycled resume paper.
What are your thoughts?

Can you post a picture of it?

I ordered beautiful invites online and when they came in…they were SMAAALL. Super upsetting. We’re returning them. I feel like wedding invitations should be a little bigger.

At one time wedding invitations were much smaller than they are now. I believe my mom’s in the late 60’s were like 4.75 x 6.5 inches and that was standard at the time. Invitations got bigger as there were more options available and as people had to put more information on them as more people would travel from further away for weddings. If your design is very clean and simple you can get away with a smaller invitation.

@BetterSherm: I tried to but them I realized you can’t see anything in the picture lol. It’s either too panned out to show the scale of the size or too close and you can’t see the size.
@garden_bride: i think I feel the same way it I’m not sure why. They’re just going to get thrown out after a second glance, ya know?
