(Closed) Invited to Bachelorette but not shower?

Honestly, I don’t even think I would want a bridal shower. I don’t really understand the point of bridal showers, but maybe I just don’t know enough about them. I would rather have someone come to the Bachlorette because I wouldn’t want them thinking they’re just invited so I can get a free gift.

I agree, usually the bachelorette is for a smaller group, whereas the shower is for just about any of the women. 

I have heard of people hosting showers at restaurants and such, so maybe there’s a higher per person cost to the shower in this case. Bachelorette parties usually don’t cost the host that much, since all the participants split the bill, and you’re usually just going around to different bars. Showers, however, are usually hosted by one person or family, so it can get expensive.
