@future_behal:  That’s definitely disapointing especially if you had something in mind.  That’s really great that they are going to redo them…especially since it doesn’t look like the proof!  As far as white on the back…lots of the invites I’ve seen are like that too. Not cheap at all. If it really bothers you (Im one of those people obsessing too) just price it out.  If it’s  too much money then just let it go.  But if it’s affordable and it’s going to make you feel better, just do it.  Honestly- no one else cares as much as we do lol.  When I get an invite, I open it, and think, wow these are nice. Then put them back in the envelope until the wedding date when I glance at the address lol. No one will notice, promise 🙂

@future_behal:  no worries.  I’m obsessing over mine too lol.  I opened up the envelopes I bought and they are sooo thin!  Total crap!  I’m just going to line them and be done with it though lol. Post some pics when you can 🙂

@future_behal:  maybe you can buy a craft edge punch (the martha stewart ones are really cute and you can find one that fits your theme) and punch the edges. Then you can put a different color cardstock and glue it behind it so that you don’t need larger envelopes you have a bit more detail.

If you post a picture maybe we can help you spruce it up!

You could also use spray paint to spray the backs with color. I would probably use a glitter spray on top. This would be quicker, cheaper, and no worries about the envelope.

Another cute idea is to get pretty, decorative, tissue weight paper and make little jackets for them. Glue them to the center and wrap around, maybe tie with a ribbon or raffia. That would be pretty quick, cheap and beautiful.

@future_behal:  Those look really cute.  What’s wrong with them??  Did you add that pink border to the reception card or did it come like that?

@future_behal:  I was going to say that I think I prefer it without the pink border.  Can you post a picture of it both ways?  I don’t see an issue with it being just plain white on the back.  If it looks different than the sample she sent you, I would be pissed about that for sure, but I do think they look very cute!

ETA:  I like a PP’s suggestion about maybe doing a spray paint and/or glitter paint on the back.  Maybe a glitter sticker or something that would cover the whole back without adding a border?  That would probably be really cute.

@future_behal:  Those are ADORABLE! There are tons of embellishments you can use, like dried flowers, twine (i love your idea), lace, doilly wrapping, etc. Are you decided on the cardstock? I think it’s a good idea if you think the problem is that they are too flimsy. I can’t really tell the texture of it from the picture, but the design is super cute so I wouldn’t want to mess with it by punching it either. Do you have extras to do mock ups with? You might be able to cut a sliver of the bottom and the right side to center it in cardstock with a hint of a frame.
