I have been on top of everything wedding related since the beginning. Our invites were finished and perfect and ready to go about 3 months ago, then two big things happened.
1. We completely changed our menu (from buffet to plated dinner)
2. We sold our house!
I’m really happy about both of those things, but we had to redesign and order new rsvp cards, plus redo all the envelopes and then I had to painstakingly pull off each stamp and put it onto the new envelope. It took weeks to accomplish but those bad boys are officially ready to hit the mailbox! I can’t wait to get back my shiny new rsvps!
Anyone else feel relieved to see your invites go out?

Yay way to go! How awesome is that feeling of putting those invites in the mail box! Its like this sudden deep feeling that people WILL attend your wedding and YOU will be getting married! hehe!

@Jacofblues: I think it was more of a “oh hell, we gone and done it now” kind of feeling. Less than 24 hours after they went out there was a picture of an invite on fb causing some hurt feelings and a lot of drama (all from a woman that has been out of contact with Fiance for 8 years and has never even seen or spoken to me).

Congrats on the sale of your house…did you buy a new one? Or are you builidng?
Also curious as to why you changed your menu?
Sounds like getting those invites out was a lot of work but worth it. I haven’t sent mine yet… they have to go out next month (September…oot ones early September, local ones mid September). I still need a ceremony venue first though, so that is priorty right now.

@bridalprincess: We are building a new one! I actually have this thread that follows the progression of the house. As for the menu, we had decided for a really over the top buffet, but my sister ran into some financial trouble so we decided to cut back to a 3 choice plated meal so we could use some money to help her out. It ended up saving us around a grand.
