So the wedding is 3 weeks from today. The venue minimum is 125, and we’ve paid for dinner for that number of attendees. However, we have a final count of 118. Is it tacky to invite others to come at the last minute? If we do, how do we invite them so they don’t feel like they are an afterthought?

There’s really no way to invite them without giving that vibe because they’ll understand they were basically on the B-list due to the timing. Not sure quite what you’d say…=/ GL though.

You could just let them know that you really wanted to invite them earlier, but had to invite family first, but now that you have all of your RSVPs in, you have room for a few more.

We did it. They were people that we weren’t really close to but we told them to come and have some free food on us and didn’t have to buy us a gift.
