I’m contemplating purchasing an iPad, but am not sure how much I’d use it.
I have an iPhone and a MacBook… just not sure how much I’d use an iPad.
I see it as a bigger iPhone – which is what I currently use at home to check email, use apps, etc… I just don’t know if there are any uses for the iPad that I’m overlooking.
I don’t really play games have apps I actively use and don’t see myself starting to use apps more than I already do.

I absolutely love my iPad and I use it all the time! BUT my laptop is an old school dell that weighs as much as my leg so I can’t tote it around. If I had a MacBook I probably wouldn’t need it. There are lots of apps, but I mostly use it for Internet, email, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. The nice thing is being able to sit in a chair or the car or whatever without balancing an entire laptop. It is more comfortable and portable, but I don’t know if its worth it since you have a nicer, lighter laptop than I do.

I have a netbook, a fullsize laptop, the nook, an iphone, a blackberry and the Ipad. I can say hands down the Ipad is used the most.
I dont play games on mine, but I am hopelessly addicted to the internet. (CURSES WB) The ipad is the perfect size for chilling on the couch, or in bed. although now I am eyeballing the mini. Clearly, I have a technology problem.

@oracle: I’m in the same boat as you! I’ve been drooling over the idea of an iPad (for years), but with an iPhone and laptop, I just don’t think I can justify it. Looking forward to seeing what responses you get.

I was really excited to get mine for xmas in 2010 and it’s mostly a toy for our two year old now. I don’t use games/apps but she does.

I don’t use it much. My daughter uses it a lot though!

I LOVE my iPad. I installed the free e-reader app and I read on it every night before bed. I also use it to text my friends and family back in the states for free. I’m totally addicted to that thing.

I have an iPhone and a brand new MacBook – just don’t think I have a need for one!

@oracle: I’m with you. I really want an iPad, but already have a MacBook and iPhone.
I used DH’s nana’s while we were without power for awhile and to get in contact with people. It was REALLY awesome. I have to say that I would use it often instead of my phone to play games, read, etc. It may actually save my phone’s life!

I don’t have an iPad, but I have an Android tablet and I use it pretty often. It’s fun for playing games, surfing the internet and watching videos. It’s also great for travel. It’s hardly good for any real work though.
I also have a touch screen phone which does basically everything my tablet does, but I tend to prefer my tablet for reading, watching videos, ect. I use my phone only when I am out and about during the day.
My Father-In-Law has an iPad and used it for about a month and now never touches it. He has an iPhone which he actually uses. I think it depends on your lifestyle.

I have an ipad, I use it all the time for work and personal use. I can’t imagine not having one. I wish I could afford to by family members one for Christmas… You wont regret it.

I love my iPad but honestly, I only use it for Netflix and gaming. I still use my laptop for emailing…
I also have an iPhone and sometimes I think having both might be overkill but I’m not willing to have one without the other. 🙂

I use mine all the time. I don’t have a laptop and I don’t like using them. I have an iPhone. Basically my iPad has replaced computer for me and it’s so portable and comfortable to use. I use instead of my Kindle. We are in the car about six hours every weekend going to our beach house. I always use it then. Yes, it does what an iPhone does but it’s big enough to see the images.
Honestly I don’t know anyone who doesn’t use it if they have one.
My eight year old grandson had a birthday recently. His mom is from a large family. He told everyone he didn’t want presents, he wanted money to save for an iPad. He got enough to get one.
I would say its the best $800 I spent in a long while.

I have an iPhone, Macbook and iPad. Kind of ridiculous, I know, but I do use my iPad every day. Mostly for games and reading, but there are certain apps I use every day that I’d much rather use on iPad than iPhone – Instagram, Evernote, Pinterest…and the NASA app is awesome). Pretty much anything with photos is so much better with the iPad.
