Hands down I LOVE my Ipad, goes with me everywhere!! LOVE it at the gym for Hulu & Netflicks while im on the treadmill so i can watch the shows and movies I want to to make running more bearable. And so slick for around the house vs lugging the laptop around with me everywhere!! Especially travel. I take my Ipad now instead of my laptop 🙂

I love love love my IPad. It took me a ill bit to get used to it, but I have never had a smartphone or anything like that so I just had to adapt. I really do love how easy it is to bring w me and lay on the bed with 😛

Love my iPad, I use it all the time. Very handy and convenient.

I adore my iPad. I bring it with me almost everywhere in my giant purse and I can wear the battery down almost daily. It gets a TON of use. I didn’t expect to use and love it that much when I bought it but I barely use my laptop at all and I prefer the bigger iPad screen vs my iPhone. I have a 3G iPad and got a data plan for it that is totally worth it.
You will love your iPad!

my husband got one for work and at first I was like omg this is so stupid, we have iphones and a laptop.
Then we started using it to facetime family and friends. And it was awesome to have on our 8 hour drive to NYC. After using it for a weekend I wanted one too.
I have my own now and I rarely use the laptop. The ipad is just so much easier to use because its faster than my laptop, there’s no cord you don’t have to worry about a power source for it and it’s easier to email/facebook/surf the internet on than an iphone because of the bigger screen. I used a lot of apps when I first got it, but now I mainly just use the internet and email. Netflix is awesome one it…so nice to watch a movie in bed, especially since we don’t have cable in the bedroom. I still want a laptop for photo editing and things, but it’s not a prioity now that I have my ipad for general stuff to use everyday.

I bought one (used). I resold it because I didn’t use it much.
A lot of what I do online is typing/using the keyboard, and I prefer a laptop. I also like to sit on the couch and browse around, and the shape of a laptop (screen in front of me rather than down in my lap) is more useful for that.
They’re super cool, but not for my purposes.

I love my iPad and I wanted one very badly before I got it, but I could definitely live without it. The one thing I couldn’t live without is reading People magazine on it. Other than that, it does all the same things that my iPhone does. I would prefer to surf the web, so to speak, on my regular computer. It’s annoying to use the facebook app all the time, and to do things like go on WeddngBee it’s also annoying. With that being said, my husband plays A LOT of games on it and I have read books on it before. All in all, having it I have made much use of it. However, not having it would not really affect me all that much. I also have a Macbook Pro and iPhone by the way.

I got one for work my last job and mostly used it for netflix and the occasional facetime. It was quite useful for taking attendance in class. I returned it once they dissolved my position and I no longer had a job, and honestly don’t miss it. I have a macbook and an iPhone. If you can get one for free, I’d say go for it, but for me at least, it certainly isn’t worth a few hundred dollars.

I have a MacBook, iPhone and the iPad and use all 3 on a daily basis! I love my iPad – especially if you set up iCloud for all of them. Like you I wasn’t sure if I really needed it, but got it as a present from my Fiance and its so much fun!

I have a Macbook, an iphone, a kindle and an ipad, and I absolutely love the ipad. I love how the library is set up for my books (I have close to 800 books on it) & it’s great for keeping organized.

I, like you, have a MacBook and an iPhone. I still got an iPad because I thought I would get a ton of use out of it. I definitely did not. Things are much easier to do on my MacBook, and I forgot it at home too often for it to be useful when I was out running errands and things like that. I found that the only thing I did was read, so I got a Kindle paperwhite and sold the iPad. Not worth it for me.
Mr. O, though, is obsessed with his. He doesn’t have a MacBook, so he uses his iPad for everything. I think it just depends what you plan to use it for.

I have a Macbook Pro, and iPhone, and the iPad also. I originally got the iPad to use for tablet drawing–it doesn’t work that well–but I have found it extremely useful as a second screen. I love to watch tv online while I’m working, so I just connect to the iPad via my Macbook and drag over the video window so I can use my entire computer screen to work. You have to get an app for it, but I think it’s worth it.
It’s also nice to have if you need to take a lot of notes or need to work/check on something throughout the day if you don’t want to lug around your computer. If you get a keyboard for it, it can be a great mini-laptop.
But, I don’t get to use it that much because I’m quite busy. I like using it, but I often forget about it, lol.

My mother has an IPad and she uses it ALL the time, as well as all 3 of my sisters. I never use it, except for when I need to have internet access in class ( im in college ). Its much easier to bring an Ipad then to bring my laptop with me. So if your gonna be using it a lot on the go for internet I think its great!
Edit: I would consider looking at tablets that run on windows 8 (ex: surface, asus transformer, etc ). Ive seen it and its awesome! Good competition for apple. Especially since you can use software such as word, powerpoint and so on.

I love mine. I wouldn’t have spent the money on it, but I won it in a drawing and I use it every day. I hardly get out my laptop at home anymore.
