Ok, so I upgraded last week to the razr maxx and Verizon is already replacing my phone for the second time!!! The first one would freeze and then the touch screen stopped working altogether. Now with the replacement, when I go running the phone randomly makes phone calls or starts the voice command prompt. The touch screen is still finicky and will freeze or have a ridiculous lag time.
I’m still in the timeframe that I can exchange the phone so now I’m wondering…
iphone 4S or just replace the razr maxx again and hope for the best.
I don’t use a lot of data, I have a car charger and can charge at work and overnight. I don’t use a whole lot of talk time, but I do play a few games and I use some apps over wifi when I’m at home. I also use pandora and netflix over wifi. I use map my run to track my runs and bike rides via gps. I use my phone for a lot of pictures and videos of my son.
I am a little worried about only having 16gb of space if I went with the iPhone. I have 32 on my razr with the micro card, but I guess I just have to back up/transfer my photos and music more often. I think if I exchange I get the 16gb iPhone unless I pay extra.
What would you do?

I will say the Razr. Probably, because I am anti-iPhone…..

I would give the razr one more shot. and if it fails again then switch. sometimes you just get glitchy phones. and like the pp… i’m not a fan of iphones

I love my iphone 4s and haven’t had any issues with it. If you tend to drop things like I do, get an otterbox case, dropped mine many times and never had a problem!

I love my iPhone, and I’m not an apple fangirl at all. I had an android for a few years before I made the switch, and I’m going to have to see some impressive results to go back to andriod. iPhones just work so smoothly.

I have the iPhone after being anti-Apple forever. I’ve had Droids for years but last year I got the iPhone and I love it. No glitches, runs smoothly… everything just runs better on the iPhone.
But, if you like your razr then try it again and if you still have problems get something else.

I absolutely love my iPhone 4s. It just always works and works well. Plus, Siri is fun to curse out on occasions.

IPHONE!! I’m sorry, I didn’t read your post because I feel so strongly about this!! I have a Motorola Bionic (Droid) which was ‘the best phone’ when I got it (like 2 months before they released the razr) and it is TERRIBLE!! I’ve had issues with it pretty much since the 30 day return period was up. Meanwhile my 3 year old iPhone 3GS that was broken (hence the replacement) still works, it even fixed it’s own bugs. And it was refurbished when I got it!! UGH, never ever ever getting another Droid.

I will always vote iPhone since, in my opinion, they’re the best phones on the market. I’ve been an avid iPhone user since the release of the first gen and have upgraded to each one since. I’ve never had a single complaint.

I’m so on the fence still… I have heard a lot of people bash Apple, but I’ve yet to meet someone face to face who doesn’t love their iPhone or has had the kind of problems with it that I have had with my last 3 android smartphones.

Mr. LK just got the Droid Maxx last Friday and is having similar issues with the screen freezing up and the phone generally being glitchy. We are going back to the Verizon store tonight to find him another phone. He hasn’t decided what he wants yet, but he is hellbent on switching phones. And we’re pretty hardcore droid people, so the Maxx is a real disappointment.

@lovekiss: I’m glad it’s not just me. I was on the phone with support for a few hours yesterday and they kept saying that the phone was fine and there were no similar reported issues with the phone.
The one helpful tech support guy called Motorola to ask their tech support some questions, and they told him that you are not supposed to have the phone with you during any physical activity. Um… so I’m supposed to go running without a phone to call for a ride if I get hurt? Bull$hit!
