MemberIve always been an android user. But the iphone 6 plus seriously intrigues me. Although I am not sure how I feel about having an apple product. And the s5 seems to have a lot of cool features that my current (and about to quit on me) Note 2 doesnt have. Do any of you ladies have either of these? Anyone made the switch from android to apple? Please give me some reviews and help me decide what to get!!!
MemberI guess one of my main concerns with the iphone is the limited storage capabilities. I take a lot of pictures with my hone. So being able to just throw in another sd card is great. The screen size between the s5 and iphone 6+ is similar..and I like that. I dont want to go back to a tiny display after having my note 2. But I definitely dont want the note 4. As the s5 seems to have much better features than the note 4 is said to have. And going down just a bit in size means I can use my phone in one hand instead of two. Lol
MemberI’ve owned the Galaxy S5 Active since August and I am in love with it. In fact, Mr. LK, Teen LK, and I all love our S5s. Great display, great keyboard, nice web browsing, good battery life even with that big, bright screen, good sound…. it’s everything I need and more. I tried to like Apple products, but the Apple interface annoys the crap outta me. I don’t want a Fisher Price OS, thankyouverymuch. Oh, and I have my beloved “back” button. I need a “back” button. Need.

MemberI love my s5 active too. I would be that person who cracked the iphone screen in the first 3 minutest and don’t see that the new one had any better features than my android does and I’m not a huge apple fan.
MemberHmm, I would go and play with each phone at your carrier’s store and see what you like best. I have an iPhone 6 and love it, but I’ve always used Apple products and I’m used to the UI. It’s so user friendly for me, and when I play around on my mom’s Galaxy I don’t like it as much. But it’s all user preference. Compare the phones in person and see what works best for you.
So far, the 6 seems really good- but I’m coming from a 4S so anything was an improvement! But colors are awesome, screen is beautiful, sound is fine, and battery life seems good. I’m still getting used to some of the new features of IOS 8- haven’t found anything that I can’t live without, but haven’t found anything that I hate either.

why are you not sure about Apple products? Is it because of the harsh over-zealous anti-Apple people? Because it’s ok to like Apple. It’s ok to not like Apple. It’s entirely up to you
MemberI have a Galaxy S4 and I’m in love. I was a faithful Apple user and convinced I couldn’t go Android. Now that I made the switch I can’t go back. I find the interface to be more intuitive than Apple and I don’t feel confined or locked down. Personally I learned the hard way that I have lousy luck with IPhone genre in general . My last 3 all suffered a tragic death by water.
MemberAs both an iphone and a Galaxy Note user simultaneously as I use one for work and one for personal, I never thougth I would say this ( because I am a die hard Apple Fan) I have an iPad a Mac Book Pro ( My third one), an iMac, Mac Mini and have had several iPad’s ( you get the picture). I have to be honest I like the Samsung better, never thougt I would say that.
Having said that from a virus issue, Apple is far better, but I think Android will get there.
MemberMy husband has the glaxy note 2. I have an iphone 5. I am going to upgrade to the 6 or 6 plus next month, when my contract expires. I like iPhones. I don’t care for my husband’s galaxy at all. I think it’s all a matter of personal preference. I am an apple person.
MemberI’d have to go for the iPhone, but I’m a dedicated Apple user – I just find the UI of iOS to be so much more user-friendly and intuitive than any of the Android phones I’ve played around with. I played with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus a little this weekend, and they’re both beautiful devices – the Plus is a little too big for me, so I’m probably going to be upgrading to the 6 in the next month or so. My husband uses a OnePlus One (so, the same screen size as the 6 Plus), and I think even he has a little phone envy (he has both the OnePlus One and an iPhone 5s, but uses the One as his primary phone).
Addressing the issue of storage that you mentioned, I just can’t imagine having a storage problem with 64 or 128GB storage on the phone. I mean, I have a 32GB iPhone right now, and even that isn’t a problem for me, but if you know you want lots of storage, just get a higher capacity. I’ve never wished I had removable storage on an iPhone (probably also because it’s just so darned easy to back-up to iCloud – if I need to clear our space on my phone, I already have all my photos saved elsewhere).

MemberI think it depends on personal preference. Like others have mentioned, I find iOS to be extremely user-friendly, but it’s also the only smartphone UI I know. I have an iPhone 6 right now (I came from a 4S and the 6 Plus was WAY too honking big for me) and I adore it – it feels right in my hand, sizewise, and everything about it is beautiful. I have messed around on both of my sisters smartphones (Galaxy and Moto something or others), and don’t find them intuitive in the slightest. I’ve also never wished I had removable storage with my Phone. I had 16GB on my 4S, but now I have 64GB and I have NO IDEA what do with all this space!
MemberFiance and I have both (I have the 6+, he has the S5, we needed both for work). Both are solid options, of course you need to consider whether or not you want to be an “android” user or “apple,” but other than that you can’t really go wrong either way. I prefer the 6+ because the S5 (and Samsung in general) is a bit glitchy and harder to use at times, but overall the S5 is still a pretty strong device. The 6+ is absolutely fantastic, no complaints at all in design or use. I prefer the 6+ (as does my S5 using FI). The larger display is also awesome for me because I use my phone to pin and what not.
