Well, I guess it depends on what type of music you like but for recent popular songs that get people dancing, here are some:

Just Dance-Lady GaGa

Single Ladies (Put a ring on it)- Beyonce

Live Your Life- Rianna and T.I.

Old School Ideas:

Shook Me All Night Long- AC/DC

Lose Your Love Tonight- The Outfield

Anything by Michael Jackson

Hope this helps 🙂

Not knowing what kind of music you’re into, I’ll give you songs that I know get MY booty shakin’.

<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>New:

I Gotta Feeling or Boom Boom Pow – Black Eyed Peas

Low – Flo Ride

Poker Face – Lady Gaga

SexyBack – Justin Timberlake

4 Minutes – Madonna and Justin

Stronger – Kanye West

Please Don’t Stop the Music – Rihanna

Cupid Shuffle

Since You’ve Been Gone (good rocking out song) -Kelly Clarkson

Let’s Get Married (remix) – Jagged Edge and Run DMC

Mercy – Duffy

Let it Rock – Kevin Rudolf

Yeah! – Usher (this never gets old)

<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Old:

Don’t Stop Believin’ – Journey

Livin’ on a Prayer – Bon Jovi

Anything by MJ or the Jackson 5

Proud Mary – Tina Turner

I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston

Signed, Sealed, Delivered – Stevie Wonder

Let’s Stay Together – Al Green (a bit slower, but still danceable)

Faith – George Michael

Nothing But A Good Time – Poison (I think)

Ain’t Too Proud to Beg – Temptations

I love hearing songs at weddings that make me go “Oh my god, I haven’t heard this in FOREVER! I gotta go dance to it.” I’m a huge dancer, but I get tired of the same stuff. If I have to hear Outkast “shake it like a polaroid picture” one more time, I might scream.

Hope that helps!

Also, if you are looking for some of the current hits go to a website that has the top 100 on it and get what you want off it.  When my FH DJ’s for a club or something that he needs the latest hits, that is what he does.  Then he doesnt have to spend hours listening to the radio to see whats “cool” this week.

I’m in the same boat and my sister suggested the NOW compilations. They are all hits, and they don’t have explicit lyrics (important for me).
