I need some help! I am planning to make some tank tops for myself, my bridesmaids and our moms for the day of the wedding. I made mine to test it out, and it looked super cute, until I put it on. All the letters cracked and it did not look good.
Any tips on how to avoid this? I recently went to a Stag and Doe where the bridal party all had shirts made by the bride and by the end of the night they were cracked too.

@FutureMsVW: What kind of shirt did you use? Ribbed shirts, like guys undershirts, stretch and cause the letters to crack or it could be a cheap paper you’re using. In my experience the paper designed for dark clothes works best. Also I would make sure that you wear the shirt before ironing-on the words, so the fibers will already be stretched slightly.

Did you try iron-on paper for stretch fabric? I used it for my invites and it worked fine. But I do think no matter what, you may get some cracking unless you stretch the fabric a little first. Good luck!

THanks for the tips! I will try to strech the fabric. It looks SOOO cute and then I put it on an it cracked. I will try to stretch it out first!
