Fiance needed me to iron some pants for his new job tonight. I lined up the legs of the pants and made a crease and then ironed it but then realized I needed to iron the top where the pockets where. So I put the waistband area over the ironing board and did that. But then the crease was gone, and when I tried to fix it there was two of them!
I said #[email protected]# it! I suck at being a good laundry wife. It makes me a little sad. But I can’t help it!

My husband irons his own clothes so you don’t fail too badly lol.

Have you thought about buying a steamer? I used to iron all the time, but now I am in love with my steamer. Easier and faster to use.

@tksjewelry: I actually haven’t. good idea!

James laughed at me when I asked him to iron my work pants. But that’s because I secretly was being too lazy. I find it annoying though to have to iron. I would look into a steamer as well. It’s awesomesauce.

Next time, save the creases for last! Do the top part first (pockets, waist area), then the “large” leg area last.
Steamers can be good, too, but probably won’t help with creases much.
Or…buy “no iron” pants…I couldn’t live without them. HATE ironing!

@menobride: thank you for that! 🙂

I can only iron shirts for some reason. Fiance is the same way. Any pants that may need to be ironed automatically go to the dry cleaners so we don’t have to worry about them.

I suck at being a dish-washing wife…well, girlfriend. Today I was doing dishes, turned on the garbage disposal and in went the metal mixer things. Now they are all smooshed. Fail.
As for ironing, this is why I steam things. Those steamers, they work!

My fiance irons his own clothes…and mine. I’m HORRIBLE at it. I appreciate him.

Um, yeah. J does all of the ironing in our house. Don’t feel too bad, you’re definitely not alone!

I hate ironing, because I can never find a left-handd iron! It’s soooo awkward to iron with my right hand.

Even though I’m the laundry guru in our house, I hate ironing. Mr.ND didn’t even know how to turn the iron on, though, so I think I’ll be doing the ironing – or the dry cleaners will.
