I have had that happen before but I’m not sure what caused it.  I was just super dry down there and it caused a lot of irritation.

I would maybe think BV just because your not having tons of dishcharge.

Have you changed panty material recently? Do you wash with soap or use a harsh detergent on clothes? Also, have you taken an antibiotic in recent times?

Aw this sucks! I had this issue a few years ago and I just didnt know what to do too! I didn’t have any discharge either. I just felt irritated.

First, if you are concerned that you and Fiance are passing it back and forth, I would suggest taking a break from rocking the boat till you feel fully cleared up.

Second, yogurt yogurt yogurt! That is what I was told by a doctor to eat and it actually helped me out quite a bit.

And lastly, I stopped wearing underwear. (bring on the ews) I obviously wear undies around tom or when I wear skirts and such, but usually I dont. I found that I just needed to be able to “breathe” down there.

Good luck!

There are home test kits you can get to test for BV. They are by the Monostat in the drug store. They say BV and yeast infections can mimic symptoms.

I was getting yeast infections chronically. I couldn’t figure out what was bringing them on so frequently, and then realized the lube Darling Husband and I used was the problem. So, maybe think of something new you are using like laundry detergent, new underware, etc.

Call your Doc and tell them you need another round of antibiotics. Could be from changing laundry soap – if you have. Or new body soap. Also could be from taking certain meds.

@coffeegal85: Oh and don’t forget about Fiance. Maybe he is eating differently or taking different medication and if he is finishing inside you, that could be it.

What about tampons and pads?  Some women have irritation to the materials in them (are you wearing a pantiliner?).

@coffeegal85: I have not, but one of my girlfriends did, and it was correct. She went to the Dr. to confirm it, and it was BV.

BV is way more common than people realize. I read somewhere earlier this year that most women that are treating symptoms with Monistat do not have a yeast infections, but rather BV. The symptoms are somewhat similar, yet different, too. Check them out online. I recommend probiotics because if it is BV, often it comes back after the antibiotics are finished.

I had this issue for a year and always right after my period. Turns out I developed an allergy to all the dyes and perfume they put in tampons.
