exactly – I’m starting early as I’m getting married at 4pm. I’,m thinking as early as they can come. I’m having makeup and hair. Mine will be out and tonged and pinned and then veil. I am having 3 bridesmaids too. I can’t wait!

as a MUA myself, yes.  but only just.  i don’t start on a face until hair has been done, but i also like to be there that early and get things set up and ready to go. i have a few questions.

is the limo picking you up for pictures at 3?

is the MUA staying throughout the ceremony for touchups?

are you having airbrush foundation or traditional foundation?

@Adalita:  I might start that early too, but that’s because we’ll have pictures around 2pm.

Just make sure to stay inside so you won’t sweat.

I am in the same situation as you!  My ceremony starts at 6pm, but I asked for hair/makeup be done by 2pm (I may change this to 3pm).  My MUA will only work on me and she is either bringing two or three other artists with her to do hair&makeup for four bridesmaids.  If she brings two, she suggested a 10am start.  If she brings three, it will be an 11:30am start.  It is estimated 2.5 hours for me and one hour per bridesmaid.

I know my hair dresser and MUA well and I know my hair will last ALL day and night!

Depends how many people are getting hair and makeup done and how long it takes. Maybe get your hair and makeup done last ?

Hair lasts all day so there is no concern there. For makeup its usually 30 minutes for each bridesmaid and an hour for the bride. Allow yourself an hour and a half to get dressed and have some photos, time will fly so the more time you have the better.

hair doesn’t always last all day.  i’ve worked many weddings where updos or curls can fall.  it depends on the stylist, the products used and the weather/humidity.  all things to consider.

Nope, my ceremony is at 7pm and we’re starting hair and makeup at 11am-11h30 (bride+6BMs+MOB). We are starting pictures around 3h30pm (first me and groom, then at 4h30ish family and bridal party)….

Are you doing pictures pre or post ceremony? If you are going directly from the salon to the ceremony, then yes, you may be a little early….

I’m having a 4:00pm ceremony (with pictures before-hand at 2:30ish) and I’m starting hair and make-up at 11:00am. I have five girls and three sylists/make-up artists coming to the venue. I think if you have a lot of girls that need to get ready, earlier is better!

ETA: If you don’t have anything planned until 3:00pm – I would totally sleep in, have some brunch and then go get your hair and make-up done later. No need to get up that early if you have a time cushion later in the afternoon!

We had salon appts for 1230-330 for our 6:30pm ceremony and it worked out beautifully.  I think you’re just a smidge early.

My ceremony was at 6 and I got my makeup done around 9 because that was when she was free and hair around noon.  We got to the venue at 4 for pictures.  I did have to touch up my foundation a bit but I would have had to anyway.
