Dakota2:  Yeah, for reals. I was going back and forth between the 2.2ct and the 1.75ct right up until we placed the order. Knowing what I know now, I would choose the 1.75ct. Oh well, guess I’ll have to suffer, lol.

Dakota2:  thank you! but i will say that the picture i posted wasnt an accurate representation of the properties of the stone. that store i was in when i took the pic also sold moissy, so i assume that they had the best possible lighting. dont get me wrong, it could definitely look pretty in certain lights but most of the time (and ALWAYS outside) i thought it looked blue/green

My ring is a 2.5 ct forever brilliant moissanite on a size 7.5 finger. It looks white most of the time. Only looks yellowish in poor lighting.

You’ll find that everyone on the Bee has varying opininons on stone size. I personally don’t think 2 ct would be too big, especially on a 7.5 finger.

I just ordered a FB 1.6 Cushion Cut loose stone and I am a size 5.5. I was seriously thinking of a 2ct but I do have small and stubby fingers so I was fearful that it would look strange. But at the end of the day, if you love it once you are wearing it, it doesn’t matter what other people think. As long as you and your hubby are happy that’s all that matters.

My 2 ct princess cut moissanite w/ 2 small round side stones (diamonds) on either side in a size 8 setting with a simple white gold band (didn’t want anything to take away from my centre stone). Very clear, I don’t notice any yellow at all.

To me, no way is it too big! Lol but I love big stones ๐Ÿ™‚ mine is a 9.5mm, just under 5 ct Forever brilliant and I LOVE her ๐Ÿ™‚ white 95% of the time. Never yellow or green, shows some warmth in poor lighting. I included a picture of it’s normal appearance and the warmth ๐Ÿ™‚ hope that helps!

How she looks most of the time.

Really depends on your hand and size of finger. I personally have a 2 ct round in a cushion halo and am size 5. It doesn’t look too crazy big to me. But I’m starting to feel self-conscious because of my work as a physician in an underserved community…these days I just wear a simple band to work so that it doesn’t look like I’m “showing off” to my patients. I’m starting to think big, flashy jewlery isn’t professional. My friend is a successful female exec w/ a 3ct ring who was laid off when the company was “down-sizing” simply because they believed her husband was well off any way if he’s able to afford her big ring, and that her being without a job shouldn’t be a major problem.
