PolkaDotBandit:  Ah, I can totally relate to sometimes feeling the 2ct is too big.

Sidetrack but I just wanted to say I just ordered that ring in rose gold (with an 8mm, as that is what it fits as you noted) for a RHR/alternate ering and your pics were some of the ones I admired before doing so! It shipped today. I did order the matching shadow band, but not sure why as I prefer to wear rings by themselves and I think it will be too much finger real estate but it is was a special order so I will give it a go and see now if works.

While I think that ring can stand on its own, if a wedding band is important to you to have, what if you wore a straight carved/vintage band on left and moved the ering over to the right?

RayKay:  Ohhh! I can’t wait to see it in rose gold 🙂 I have been wanting something in rose gold, but am afraid to pull the trigger. I think I may love rose gold most with morganite. What cut did you get for the stone? I was not a huge fan of the band that was paired with this setting, and then had the worst time trying to find a band that went with it.

Sometomes I do wear a vintage band on my left hand and my ering on my right. I will also sometimes do the opposite too. LOL. I think that after seeing all the stacks here on the Bee has made me want to be able to do that.

I don’t think it’s too big. My ring is sized to a 5.5 but needs to be a 4.5-5 and I have a 3.02 carat diamond. I love it!!

PolkaDotBandit:  OEC, of course (unenhanced). I’ll have to post some photos of my little moissy OEC family after I get it. I actually have another moissy OEC ring on the way too…

I like the band enough from what I have seen. Chris sent me photos of a set they did in rose gold before and the band was prettier in rose than the white on their stock photos, but I do really prefer wearing my rings solo. I tried the stack thing many times in many different forms and with different bands and as pretty as it can be on others…it just does not work for me. In part because I think the base of my finger is shorter, in part because it is too much ring management (ha), and in part as there is just something pretty to me about a ring, be it a band or a ring with a centre stone, simple, or elaborate, all on its own.

jamiegrego:  I wear big rings on both hands, I did knock them in the beginning, but not now, last month my friend bless her Grrrr slammed the car door on my fingers, total accident, it split one of my prongs dropped a little diamond, that was the worst, no broken fingers just a bruise stretching across three fingers.  Don’t forget bee diamond shrinkage syndrome is real !! Wear what you love and love what you wear.

I’d go 1.5.  2 carats is a pretty large diamond and I feel like it might knock around a lot with a mid-high setting.

jamiegrego:  I think 2ct would be great as long as it is set low. I would think an 8mm in a high setting would flop from side to side and bang on things. I wouldn’t like it for me (I am a size 4.25 on my L hand). Here is a pic of an 8mm on my R hand, which is size 5.25 for reference. The setting is really low.
