I don’t think it would look weird at all! I think alternating sapphire and diamonds would look GORGEOUS.

I just picked up my two bands yesterday! I’m totally in love with them, but part of me is a smidge worried that people will think I’m being over the top. I LOVE the setting of my engagement ring and was looking into having bands custom made to fit it perfectly but it was going to be a logistical nightmare to have them made cos of the shape of the ring. Anyhoo, I picked two bands and I love them, even though they don’t sit flush and there’s a bit of a gap between the three rings when viewed from the side. I tried it with just one ring, but IMO it looks better with the two – plus I’m a stickler for symmetry! I’ve also always loved the look of those women who have been married forever and have a huge knuckle of bling to prove it!

We bought a wrap for my ring that looks like two bands. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it at all.

FH is the best!!!!

Edit:  I just quickly photoshopped the rings together. (please ignore the choppy edges and blurriness!!)  Anyways, I love the look of the two bands!!

(sorry the pic is so big!!)

@JennyChicago: Completely off topic, but what brand and color is your nail polish? It’s so pretty!

This is mine but i dont know if im going to do both bands or just one. When i do both bands it feels like it takes away from the main diamond. If you want two bands i say go for it girl!!!

Loving this post! So many pretty rings. My Engagement Ring is pictured below. I don’t have it on right now bcs I’m overseas deployed (but soon to be reunited with FH and ring YAY!). I’m thinking of  a) two 3/4 eternity rings, or.. b) one plain band for everyday and for wear with the Engagement Ring and one fancier band for when I just want to wear the band alone. Suggestions? I need help!

Here’s my e-ring:

Here  are some rings I’m considering besides just a plain band:

The one above comes with or without diamonds.

 Or there’s this one:

And last, this one:

Everyone’s ring is so blingy and gorgeous.  Iam doing two bands, and while I’d like to highlight that I am doing it in  part for sentimental meaning (two bands and one ring equals three years of friendship and love) I am doing it largely because I just love the look of it!  But because I work with teenage at-risk students and families, I will wear my e ring less and less and proabably wear the band.
