I think anyone past their teens is too old but if you want to DONT let what others think stop you.

Your going to get lots of people who don’t like them period but who cares, wear one if it makes you feel beautiful. I rocked one at 38,and I loved it!

FinallyLewistoo:  I was a 40yr old bride as well and though tiaras are not to my taste, it’s your wedding and you should wear what pleases you. That being said however, if the tiara is being worn as a joke/gag, I don’t think wearing it for your wedding is the best idea. Personally I wouldn’t want to look back at my wedding photos and regret wearing something that was a joke.

How about putting one on once the party gets going at your reception?

Heck no. Wear what you want. You don’t have to conform to anything because of age.

Especially if it’s a running joke. That makes it even better.

Wear what you want. And in this case, it sounds like everyone who matters is going to be on board with the tiara anyway.

Excuse me?  Forty is old?!  I passed that eons ago.

That said, I’m not a fan of tiaras on anyone.  I wore a sparkly headpiece.  But, if you want a tiara, you certainly should have one.  Age means nothing.  Being a bride is being a bride.

When I was at DB dress shopping, there was an over 40 lady looking for her vow renewal dress.  You know what she wanted? A ball gown.  They were doing the whole wedding thing & she was going to be a total blushing bride.  I loved her!

The people closest to you understand the significance, so I think it’s completely fine. You do whatever you want on your day 🙂
